Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information AuraBio ("we", "us") collects when you use aurabio.xyz, why we collect it, and the choices you have. AuraBio is a link-in-bio tool that lets creators build a public profile page, collect payments through their own Stripe account, and (soon) send email to their subscribers.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, and — if you sign up with a password — a securely hashed version of it (we never store your plain-text password). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.
• Waitlist reservations: if you reserve a username before AuraBio opens, we store that username and your email address so we can hold it for you and notify you at launch.
• Profile content: anything you choose to add to your public page — links, images, bio text, and similar.
• Usage data: basic analytics about visits to your public page (e.g. view and click counts) so you can see how your page performs. We don't track visitors across other websites.
• Payment data: we don't process or store payment details ourselves. If you sell products or accept tips, checkout is handled directly by Stripe through your own connected Stripe account — AuraBio never sees your buyers' card details.

2. How we use it

• To create and operate your account and public page.
• To send you account-related email — e.g. a waitlist confirmation, or letting you know when AuraBio opens.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (e.g. rate-limiting repeated requests).
• To improve the product based on aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run AuraBio, who process data on our behalf:

• Resend — to deliver transactional email (e.g. your waitlist confirmation).
• Stripe — to process payments, if you use AuraBio's payment features. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to that processing.
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google, to verify your identity. Google's own privacy policy applies to that exchange.

We don't share your information with anyone else except where required by law.

4. Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in (your session). We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

5. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. If you reserved a username on the waitlist but never created an account, that reservation is kept until AuraBio opens or you ask us to remove it.

6. Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing us (see below). If you're in the EU/UK, you have rights under GDPR to do the same, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
